9 This 3 track demo from the UK black metal band Archaicus is vast in scope and executed brilliantly. The vocals sit well in the mix, not overpowering but relentlessely drawing you in, moving between screetches and quieter, anguished, roughly spoken parts with occasional choral parts. The riffing is in a definate old school vein with a cold aura created over the short span of the disc. For £3 this is a must buy from a most promising of true English black metal bands.
