10 Elitist Records (sublabel of Earahe)- 2002 Earache imprint label, Elitist Records is really starting to make waves in th Metal World, Lunaris does not dissapoint with this, a varitable vortex of Awesome Progressive-Black Metal, easily better and more complex than the Dissapointing Try-to-be-avantegarde-and-creative-but-fall-on-face New Satyricon album... Made up of Members of Borknagar Spiral Architect, 1349, Satyricon session members & new blood, this record rips through your mind like a Halcyon cannon, leaving the rest of the Black Metal albums of the year in silent shame. Oh, and thats not just a wild claim, Im serious to a fault. As David Perri of Digital Metal said: "This is a record that swirls, slips and tunnels its way around the traditional black metal sound and then morphs into a carnival of creation, sensory spheres and progressive mindframes. Each individual song is potent and unique, bending your expectations sideways, asking you to think differently, and rewarding you with experience that is never boring, always exhilarating and happening on planes of existence you didn't know possible". Despite all the crazy preaching, I doubt theres any better way to explain the Insane Aural blessing that is this album, no other Black Metal album from this year even touches upon the shores of ...the Infinite, do yourself and Metal a favor and pick this up, ASAP. Only a 10 because thats as high as I can go. Now Im going to go listen to this for a fifth time in a row... whee hoo!
